I asked ChatGPT to build a deck around hobbits and this is what it made:

note: I wasn't able to find my tactics Pippin in my collection and i find Frodo Baggins new ability quite helpful

Certainly! Building a deck with Hobbits can be quite fun and thematic in "The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game". Hobbits typically excel in questing and have abilities that synergize well with each other. Let's create a deck centered around Hobbits:

Heroes

  1. Frodo Baggins (Spirit, from Core Set)
  2. Sam Gamgee (Leadership, from The Black Riders)
  3. Pippin (Tactics, from The Black Riders)

Decklist (50 cards)

Allies (21)

  1. 3x Rosie Cotton (Spirit, from The Black Riders)
  2. 3x Sam Gamgee (Spirit, from The Black Riders)
  3. 3x Merry (Spirit, from The Black Riders)
  4. 3x Faramir (Leadership, from Core Set)
  5. 3x Bill the Pony (Tactics, from The Black Riders)
  6. 3x Gaffer Gamgee (Spirit, from The Black Riders)
  7. 3x Honour Guard (Leadership, from The Lost Realm)

Events (16)

  1. 3x A Test of Will (Spirit, from Core Set)
  2. 3x Feint (Tactics, from Core Set)
  3. 3x The Galadhrim's Greeting (Spirit, from Core Set)
  4. 2x Sneak Attack (Leadership, from Core Set)
  5. 2x Lay of Nimrodel (Spirit, from The Three Trials)
  6. 3x Halfling Determination (Tactics, from The Sands of Harad)

Attachments (11)

  1. 3x Fast Hitch (Spirit, from The Dead Marshes)
  2. 3x Dagger of Westernesse (Tactics, from The Black Riders)
  3. 2x Sting (Tactics, from Over Hill and Under Hill)
  4. 3x Hobbit Cloak (Spirit, from The Black Riders)

Strategy

  • Frodo Baggins: Use his ability to cancel the effects of the first treachery card revealed each round, providing valuable protection against encounter deck surprises.
  • Sam Gamgee: Provides resource generation and can ready Frodo or other Hobbit characters using "Fast Hitch".
  • Pippin: Use his ability to look at the top card of the encounter deck each round, allowing you to plan your actions and mitigate threats.

Tips

  • Questing Power: Hobbits excel at questing, especially when equipped with "Fast Hitch" to ready them after committing to the quest.
  • Combat Support: Use "Halfling Determination" and attachments like "Dagger of Westernesse" and "Sting" to bolster their combat capabilities.
  • Event Management: "A Test of Will" and "The Galadhrim's Greeting" help manage the encounter deck and threat levels effectively.
  • Ally Synergy: Allies like Rosie Cotton and Gaffer Gamgee provide additional support and utility, while Honour Guard helps in defending against attacks.

Suggested Play Style

  1. Early Game: Focus on establishing your board with Hobbit allies and attachments. Use Frodo's ability to mitigate early game threats.
  2. Mid Game: Utilize Sam Gamgee's resource generation to play key events and attachments. Quest aggressively with Hobbits and manage threat levels.
  3. Late Game: Maintain control over the encounter deck with event cards and use Hobbit synergy to overcome challenges in both questing and combat.

This deck emphasizes the strengths of Hobbits in questing and their ability to support each other through synergy and powerful attachments. Enjoy your adventures in Middle-earth with this thematic and strategic Hobbit deck!

I would name this deck "The Fellowship of Hobbits". This name captures the essence of the deck, which is centered around the unity and cooperation of Hobbit heroes and allies, reminiscent of the camaraderie found in the Fellowship of the Ring. It also pays homage to the core theme of friendship and support among the Hobbits as they embark on their adventures in Middle-earth.

We're all laughing now but in three months AI will have built a True One Deck better than anything on here. Good thing this game is cooperative and not competitive, or we'd be doomed.
