This is the second evolution of my deck built for Khazad-dûm - I dropped the Spirit hero as although I enjoy playing tri-sphere, found I was mostly just using Unexpected Courage.
So far this has performed well - Burning Brand being the key function to negate all those shadow goblins - Longbeard Map-Maker and the ability to generate a lot of Lore resource acting as a sucker-punch for final turn questing. I don't have Dain - if I did, he'd be in there no doubt, as Gloin is mainly along for his Leadership icon rather than his ability or stats - though he does do most of the killing.
No eagles or horses, though my own rules on what is thematic conveniently ignore Steward of Gondor and all the Dúnedain tricks.
I can see myself continuing to make changes - probably should have a third Steward to be surer to draw - rarely use the snares, so why 3?
Comments are welcome - please note my card pool is currently first 3 packs of Mirkwood, and Khazad-dûm (I also have the rest of the Dwarrowdelf cycle, as yet unopened as am still compelled to keep delving in Moria)
