Galadantien 14

One of a personal collection of decks I’ve built both physically and digitally striving to make the most powerful but still thematic combinations I could with my entire card pool – primarily tested for two player (or two handed) matches.

Starting Hand (Mulligan For): You’re looking for Radagast’s staff right away, and can fall back on Word of Command if a mulligan doesn’t do it. I’ve found performance is very consistent in this deck for me, with multiple cards you can use to replenish your hand or find what you need.

Resource Gen & Card Draw: Radagast’s staff is an easy Steward of Gondor stand-in, and an additional resource from Alagos every round is amazing – just keep in mind it can’t go on Beorn due to being immune to player card effects. The Eagles are Coming is very good at replenishing your hand. Wizard’s Pipe and Expert Treasure Hunter combo for an extra card a turn as well. Finally Gandalf is there too – made easier to access because Gwaihir’s Debt can bring him out similar to Sneak Attack.

Questing: Is surprisingly good for a combat focused deck, with 5 most turns from Radagast and Alagos (without exhausting the former). Eagles swarm quickly to boost that, and thanks to Alagos you can usually keep a resource on Beorn spare to save allies like Emissary from being discarded if that’s not what you want. Your partner will need to be capable of high questing overall, but you can take your share better than most combat focused decks I’ve played.

Combat: Is where this deck shines. Beorn is a beast and makes combat on turn 1 much easier on the table due to sentinel and not exhausting to defend. However he can’t be healed, so be wary. Wilyador is your only ranged ally, so your partner needs to be able to take down enemies themselves occasionally.

Partners (Fellowships): Your partner needs to be able to handle the bulk of questing and some combat.
