Galadantien 8

Galadantien has a newer deck inspired by this one: Sons of Durin (Burglar's Turn)

One of a personal collection of decks I’ve built both physically and digitally striving to make the most powerful but still thematic combinations I could with my entire card pool – primarily tested for two player (or two handed) matches.

Starting Hand (Mulligan For): Legacy of Durin, Tighten Our Belts, A Good Harvest and A Very Good Tale are all good options to look for. Like most BOF decks, card draw is important, as is the early resource boost to reach your 5 dwarves. Good tale is the key to building your dwarf swarm quickly.

Resource Gen & Card Draw: Ori and Legacy of Durin make card draw easy. Gandalf and Sneak attack is a backup. Ori works quickly with you already starting at 4 dwarves you should be getting an extra card by round 2. Nori likewise handles threat, quickly accounting for the high starting threat easily.

Questing: Is strong here. Thanks to Dain your other 3 heroes can quest for 9 on round 1. Thw swram soon follows boosting this even further.

Combat: Dwarf swarms also bring strong combat potential. Gimli assists early on, able to take an undefended strike round 1 from most common 3 attack enemies, boosting his attack to 6 with Dain ready. Then he can often counter strike that enemy in one hit alone. Battle Masters will usually sit at 6 attack too with Dain ready. You’re a powerhouse.

Partners (Fellowships): This deck is highly versatile, but can be a little slower to start thanks to four different spheres, if your opening hand isn’t ideal. The heroes do generally make up for that, but it will mean you don’t generally want your partner leaning on you to take multiple enemies on round 1. I.e. Your partner needs to be able to carry their weight in combat as well. A Vilya or Silvan deck often hits the sweet spot perfectly.
