bzgaming 66
bzgaming has a newer deck inspired by this one: Gandalf is Not a Threat
This deck is designed to make great use of OHaUH Gandalf. Use the Doomed cards to get set up quickly, then reset your threat with Aragon and get Gandalf into play with a couple choice Ents and Outlands allies to start wiping the board.
vs Passage Through Mirkwood
4 completed rounds = 40
Total combined Threat = 25
Total damage on Heroes = 6
Cost of dead Heroes = 0
Victory points = 0
TOTAL SCORE = 71
Felt a little slower than the first version of this deck, but still set up rather nicely. Sword-Thain is looking pretty silly right now. Once Gandalf is in play, you won't likely keep playing long enough for Sword-Thain to make its money back. The only thing it really offers is the ability to attach Unexpected Courage to him, but Shadowfax is usually enough, and Aragorn like Unexpected Courage as well.
IF I was going to keep Sword-Thain in, then I should get Song of Wisdom and A Burning Brand in there as well to make it more worthwhile. That's something to consider, but I'm not sure what to remove.
The healing didn't come out very early, so I only go to heal once, so I don't have an accurate measurement of how well the healing will work. Maybe drop Sword-Thain and add another Warden?
I'm really loving Narya on ally Gandalf. On the ally it essentially changes to
Combined with Treebeard, you get 2 allies with 4+ defense and 5+ attack!
