Pictures of this deck with the rethemed custom Dandadan cards here: https://imgur.com/a/7z7B4oF
Created a Dandadan themed deck. Decided to go with a heavy Ent angle with some cancellation abilities and some other cards to help save you from the brink of death/defeat, like happens so often in the show, hence several cards to cancel damage or treachery or bring a hero back (in the sideboard right now) or reduce threat if you threat out, or take a final hail mary turn.
How the characters currently line up: Aragorn - Okarun Eleanor - Momo Ayase Eowyn - Aira
Allies:
- Arwen - Muko (supports Momo, always has her back)
- Booming Ent - Peeny-Weeny (he packs a powerful punch)
- Gandalf - Seiko Ayase (both gray haired and arrive to save the day)
- Glorfindel - Jiji (strong and has a lot of spirit)
- Imladris Stargazer - Turbo Granny (she knows a lot about what's going on)
- Quickbeam - Taro (he runs fast, even found a screenshot with a similar pose)
- Treebeard - Kinta (not introduced in the anime yet, based on ability to make things in the manga)
- Vassal of the Windlord - Manjiro (comes in quick to fight)
- Wandering Ent - Vamola (she does a lot of traveling)
- Warden of Healing - Queen Sensei (she's the school nurse)
- Wellinghall Preserver - Miko (don't have a great reason but I already had Muko so felt like they should both be present)
- Landroval - Zumo (last character with a decent color picture despite only being in manga so far. I think Rokuro might fit this better thematically though)
I considered Magic Ring for Okarun's golden balls, but went with Stone of Elostirion as I could have more than one, it having a guarded location means they kind of have to search for them, they don't just have them, and it goes along with being able see the psychic/spiritual world more when in contact with them. Also that extra card draw really helps in this deck as it's otherwise lacking.
I'd like to include Magic Ring too but not sure what it would represent yet.
In general I feel there's a decent amount of high resource cost allies in the game, which wouldn't be too bad except for quests where you have to start hard right at the beginning. The deck seems to take a little too long to get going (doesn't help that I don't have secrecy to make resourceful cheaper, so it takes a few turns for that to pay off). Proud Hunters is nice, but it doesn't help too much if you're mainly going up against 1 or 2 threat enemies early on.
Also I noticed while playing it that I seem to struggle with locations. Maybe i should add a Northern Tracker or something.
Now I’m humming the season 1 intro but the lyrics have changed to “Du-ne-dain, du-ne-dain, du-ne-dain…”
