Ride for Ruin is a fast-paced Rohan deck built around the synergy between Éomer’s combat power, Éowyn’s unmatched questing, and Théodred’s steady resource generation. The strategy focuses on sending allies into the fray (or sacrifice) to trigger Éomer’s attack bonus and benefit from effects like Eomund’s readying or Horn of Gondor/Horn of the Mark for card draw and resource acceleration.

Steward of Gondor and Théodred together provide the economy to field costly, high-impact allies like Gandalf, Beorn, and Faramir. Éowyn ensures that the deck can handle early questing pressure, while Unexpected Courage offers key readying flexibility.

The deck excels at rapid offense and quest progress, especially in the early game, but benefits from careful ally cycling and well-timed event plays (e.g., Feint, Sneak Attack + Gandalf) to survive strong enemy attacks. While defense is not its primary focus, Citadel Plate can make Éomer more resilient, and chump-blocking with low-cost allies is a frequent tactic.

Best suited for quests that reward speed and aggression, “Ride for Ruin” captures the thematic charge of Rohan into battle — victory through swift strikes before the enemy can overwhelm.
