Deck built to play Road Darkens. I've chosen Gimli, Gandalf and Pippin for thematic reasons. Most of the allies are dwarfs.

The deck also works pretty well: fast card draw, good resource acceleration, some combos and very fun to play. Tested against Anduin.

I would like to mention that this deck is based on Seastan's http://ringsdb.com/decklist/view/4806/the-return-of-tactics-gimli-1.0 but with restricted card pool and Dwarf theme.

Here some tips:

  • Mulligan for Wizard Pipe. Expert treasure hunter and Gandalf Staff are also good choices.

  • 31 starting threat but 29 starting engagement cost thanks to Pippin ability and Frodo.

  • Discard from your deck with no fear. Use Wizard pipe to select the topmost card of your deck and discard it. Lots of discarding options: Treasure Hunter, Ered Nimrais Prospector, Well-Equipped and Flame of Anor.

  • Get Lore resources to boost Longbeard Map-Makers and ready Gimli with record keepers.

Attachments candidates:

  • Gandalf: Pipe, Staff, Unexpected Courage, Self Preservation, Steward, Song of Wisdom, Treasure Hunter.

  • Gimli: Citadel Plate (play it with Well-Equipped), Captain of Gondor, Song of Wisdom, Unexpected Courage, Self Preservation.

  • Pippin: Celebrian's Stone, Self Preservation, Steward, Treasure Hunter.

If you have Threat problems change Word of Command for Galadhrim's Greetings. Anyway, you can change Word of Command for any card you want, some candidates in the sideboard.
