I own:
2 Core sets
All the Shadow of Mirkwood Cycle
Both Hobbit Saga expansions
Khazad-Dum The Long Dark
The only thing that I think should be changed would be Guard of the Citadel for a better ally, but I can't come up with one. I have played and beaten the first 2 scenario's in the Core set pretty easily about 3 times each.

Aug 21, 2017Oops sorry. First deck I've published haha. I was just saying please help improve it anyway you feel. One thing I find with the core set scenarios at least is some of the allies are pretty weak. The Lore Dwarf allies don't ever really do much, and Guard of the Citadel is pretty weak too. Just wanted to get some veterans thoughts on how it could be made better. Maybe Dunedain Watcher? |
Aug 21, 2017Oh, I see, no problem. This deck looks pretty good already and I'm actually not much of a veteran, but I'll do what I can. First off, if you have two core sets, you should probably use three Steward of Gondor. You can discard any extras you draw with Eowyn. Erebor Hammersmith and Miner of the Iron Hills aren't actually to bad. The miner can get rid of nasty condition attachments and the Hammersmith can help get those Forest Snares back if you manage to kill those enemies. To replace the Guard of the Citadel, I would use Escort from Edoras, which is very powerful. Mostly, you just need the deck to be more consistent i.e. have three copies of just the better cards instead of one or two copies of all the good cards. |
Aug 21, 2017Well I'll lay out my issues because in theory I agree with all your points and I'm sure with the future quests, my next points will be invalid, but for the core set scenarios my issues are: Since I have such good threat management, I basically never have to fight a scary bad guy until I choose to. I have played Journey Along the Anduin 3 times and I haven't had to use a single forest snare at all. I just keep my threat below 30 and then wait til I can kill the hill troll in one hit. So the Lore dwarf getting back that card hasn't really mattered yet. And questing is usually a piece of cake for nearly the whole game. I put the stone on Eowyn and she quests for 6 just by herself. And it's so hard for me to put in 3 copies of unique cards since I can only play 1. I know some are really good but it's so hard seeing them in my hand and unplayable! Haha |
Aug 21, 2017I completely agree with everything you're saying and experienced your points above myself; I tried my own version of this same deck idea when I started playing this game. By the way, Eowyn can help get rid of those extra unique cards while boosting questing even more. |
Hey
@zjensen3
! Good to see another (relatively) new player! What is it you need help with? Your deck title seems to have been cut off.
