This deck is designed to get weapons out to Dunhere and Haldir as quickly as possible as well as arm Beregond with his Gondorian Shield and Spear of the Citadel. Lots of weapons, Master of the Forge to help dig. Songs of Battle to help Dunhere and Haldir pay not only for the weapons but also for some combat tricks like Hands Upon the Bow and Quick Strike.

Combo to look for is to get Elf Friend on Dunhere. This allows him access to more weapons including the Rivendell Bow which will give him ranged, making him much more versatile as an attacker. In addition, it allows for the use of Elrond's Council to reduce threat. Keeping threat low helps to keep enemies in the staging area allowing Dunhere to be more effective for a longer number of rounds.

This deck is not a solo deck. It needs to be paired with a strong questing deck and its job is to kill enemies and defend the other player with Beregond's Sentinel ability.

Loved this deck in the most recent CotR Twitch (https://secure.twitch.tv/cotrpodcast/v/55055293).

This deck did WORK that night @sappidus! Love a good Dunhere Voltron build.

What's the benefit of the Horse-Breeder in this Deck?

JanB, when I initially built the deck it was to take up against the first quest of the Grey Havens. I wanted cheap allies that I could get out in turn 1 or 2 that would help pass sailing tests. Cost was the only consideration. I should probably look at updating with a more useful ally. With that said, when the deck isn't functioning right I'll use here ability to simply allow me to shuffle the deck. I know that makes no logical sense, but it makes me feel better!
