This is a deck that’s been not only a blast to play but has proven to be very powerful. Focuses on the powerful doomed cards with the intent of triggering Aragorn’s ability when needed - typically around the 5th turn. This deck generates a ton of money and card draw and has a lot of readying abilities to really maximize each and every character. The deck features the strong combination that is Gimli and Legolas. Combined with the doomed cards and Aragorns unbelievable ability, this has proven to be an incredibly fun and powerful deck to play.

Mar 28, 2018Thanks! So to make a long story short I bought LOTR LCG when it first came out years ago and really enjoyed it but didn’t think i could dedicate the time to it so i sold it. A few years later I actually bought it again and ended up selling it. Again. Worst decision of my life ;) But i recently got the itch to play it again so i bought back in...for the third time. But it’s a fantastic game and i can’t wait to get caught up on what I’ve missed! Thanks for the write up and kind words. I’ve actually made a few tweaks to the deck earlier today that i think make it a tad better (including Sword that was broken). But yes the bones of the deck is solid and a lot of fun to play! Thanks again! |

Mar 31, 2018Cool deck! I personally love the Three Hunters lineup and all the different variations that the game has for those three heroes. Glad to see that you have gotten back into the game. Since, you are running Dwarven Shield, you probably want to benefit from the kicker of +1 resource. In turn that means getting healing down on the table is pretty important, so 3 copies of Ioreth might be a good idea |
Jul 18, 2018As thematic as the various "Doomed Allies" are, do you find you get their monies worth vs using some other equivalent ally of the same cost? The one who brings out extra allies I'm cool with, but the Orthanc Guard and Messenger don't seem that great. I like the Elven Light inclusion though, didn't expect that. |

Jul 18, 2018@The Broken Meeple Thanks for the comment. It’s like you’ve read my mind...I noticed the same thing weeks ago that i wasn’t getting as much value from the messenger and guard as i thought so weeks ago i tweaked the deck and it’s been performing even better and more consistent. In fact i played it last night against nightmare Journey up the anduin and nightmare passage through Mirkwood and it performed beautifully. Here’s my updated list for reference: ringsdb.com |

Nice deck! I got to play a few games with it and feature it on my blog: lotrdecktest.wordpress.com
I see this is your first published deck! Are you fairly new to the game or just new to RingsDB?
Solid deck! I had a good time with it!
