overview
this deck was based around the cardboard of the rings podcast when they talked about how in one deck someone put in the description, grave cairn is pretty decent. so that was the goal of this deck, to make it pretty decent but function as an actual deck.
the idea behind the deck, was to play out allies that leave play easy. this can be done through abilities, chumping an attack, or sneak attack, etc. this idea was formed from the abilities of eomer and imrahil, who we will talk about. by letting allies go in and out of play we are able to get action advantage out of imrahil and an attack boost from eomer.
opening hand
our opening hand is pretty versitile, and there is not a lot of cards we dont want to see. ethir swordsman is nice to see as is either the horse breeder or firefoot. a test of will is nice to have. finally its good to have any form of card draw, which includes gandalf, ancient mathom or valient sacrifice.
card choices
Éomer- his ability gives him extra attack when a character leaves play, this is one half of the reason this deck works. he benifits from a character leaving play, which is what the deck is about
Prince Imrahil- his ability provides action advantage as it lets him ready when a character leaves play. this lets him be able to quest and attack if you chumped with an ally. this is a strong ability to have and it keeps the deck running. this is the other half of why this deck works and what the intent was.
Grave Cairn- its pretty decent
SOLO
i designed this deck for solo play, because that is what i usually play, but it should work fine in a multiplayer setting, there arent many uniques so it should be fine to use.
