Rouxxor 1860
Since the preview of Grimbeorn I try to build a deck around him. I like the idea to be able to block and kill the enemy with only one character that exhaust. But this need a lot of condition to work properly: to have enough defense/heal to block regulary, to get resources on Grimbeorn and most important: to be able to attack enough to kill it without having to attack again (and counting again his defense).
So most part of the deck is build around grimeborn to make it better. Aragorn III decrease defense of enemies against us, captain gondor help both defense and attack and it is not restricted. So we won't using sentinel keyword that much. After that many attachment are restricted so we will dispatch them among our heroes, starting with Grimbeorn. I haven't include any signal card since I want to use foe-hammer and sterner than steel weapon-mechanic. After some time Grimeborn will be able to deal with two enemies each turn thanks to rohan warhorse.
Steward of Gondor and legacy of numenor are part of the usual stuff I put in leadership decks (and fight deck are usually leadership) because it help the whole table, even if they are not especially good for us. Grimbeorn is not supposed to have steward, we have a better use of steward in a quest deck with many allies.

Sep 09, 2018I have to keep a high count of weapon to keep foe-hammer consistent enough, so I have a hard time to find enough room for the signal. That is something I will try during my test, like I said on the description. If you have to include some signal what will you remove from the deck? |
Sep 09, 2018Oh I just meant that signals are nice for Grimbeorn in general. Of course in this particular deck, not as much, because you want consistent targets for your events. |
I think the signals still have use for Grimbeorn, if only because they're not restricted.
