This is one of the 2 decks for Journey In The Dark in my Thematic Saga run (which includes the 2 PoD quests that are inserted after the 1st quest in Black Riders.) It took me 3 tries to get 2 wins in Easy Mode (which is not easy at all). One of the wins was completed before the Balrog showed up.
Boons: Sting is included in this deck. Frodo has Mr. Underhill and Old-Bogey Stories.
After doing the first 6 quests using a Hobbit deck and a non-Hobbit deck, JitD forced major changes to improve resource management and fighting ability.
You really want to see Wizard Pipe in your opening hand. You need it to place A Test of Will on top of the deck for the Quest Phase. After that, you really want the weapons (to play the related events) and Gandalf's Staff.
Keep in mind that you cannot use A Good Harvest to play A Burning Brand --- because Gandalf is not Lore unless you play it from the top of your deck.
