FingolfinFate 15

FingolfinFate has a newer deck inspired by this one: Friendship

This is probably the one deck with the most fun slash power value out there. What makes it especially entertaining is the fact that almost every time one draws a card, it is useful. And almost every game feels different and fresh.

The Storm Comes is almost always the choice of a sidequest, then Prepare for Battle as second. With Thurundir’s ability, there is a good chance to have two sidequests at the start of the game. Once the Storm is cleared, and with the great hero lineup it should be right away, allies will show up quickly and strong. The saga quests make this even more fun, having five resources to begin with. Both Éowyn and Glorfindel are great at Quick Strike, or Oath of Eorl once you have someone from Gondor (in which Steward can help). Options for card draw can multiple quickly, starting with Gildor Inglorion (who’s the best Steward candidate with Heed the Dream in mind).

At the first glance, defense seems like the biggest issue of the deck, with none of the heroes being able to defend effectively. The allies come to rescue with many a candidate and Hold the Line is amazing here, with the readying bonus often not needed as the allies ready themselves (Vigilant Dúdanad, Boromir or Treebeard).

the herolineup is great for bond of friendship-contract.

starting effectiely with thread of 28 make it also hill-troll-proved.

as u mentioned, imo it lacks defense. yes, you can chump, but there are not so many cheap chumps. Quick Strike is surely 1 option, but i would add either some 1-cost-allys, or Feint i think, Oath of Eorl is a winmore-card, changing with Feint would make much more sense to me, also the Westfold Outrider then, with 2 Feint more, i would feel better, and gives you the time until you have either a decent defender out (e.g. Treebeard or Boromir ) or be able to play Gaffer Gamgee each round.

I can tell you that even against such enemy packed quests like Journey to the Cross-roads, I almost never chump. Just played a game where only one Mumak escaped to the Black Gate and the only chump was with Errand-rider after a Mumak got to attack from the staging area twice (thanks to treachery and a shadow effect). The allies are better than Feint and Quick Strike is great against Haradrim Soldier. Oath of Eorl is played almost every game that I draw it (I would say half to two thirds of the games) and usually to great effect even though it is costly but often A Good Harvest helps but in general with a good planning the resource management is very easy thanks to the Storm Comes. I mostly play saga plus a few favourite quests, so I cannot say it is bullet-proof against all; it is just really really solid. Is there a quest you think it would have a hard time against, I will then try… normally I win more than 85% of games, and I skip all the easy quests.
