Inspired from an episode of the "Three Is Company" podcast, where it was mentioned what it would be like have Gandalf stay in the game much longer, and give him all his usual toys (Shadowfax and Gandalf's Staff). Most of my decks aren't very optimal and finely tuned, and this is no different.
It is so fun to have the wizard show up early and having him quest without exhausting, then using him for defense and attack. Continually lowering threat with Woodmen's Clearing and The Galadhrim's Greeting and Elrond's Counsel and recycling some events with Dwarven Tomb. If Gandalf needs to die, then hopefully I use a Will of the West and see him again. Drop the threat with Aragorn if needed. Like I said, probably not optimal, but ridiculously fun adventuring with hobbit, a reincarnated elf, and the ranger.
