Discard Pile

Copterman 1027

DECK NAME - How Low Can You Go?

https://youtu.be/5HjNIWUZDAw

OVERVIEW - Using discard effects along with the ability to put allies out for cheap, we can minimize the number of cards in our hand and quest for high ; Beorn (with the help of Feint and The Wizards's Voice) eats Wild Men for breakfast. Threat won't matter since we win in 4-8 rounds.

HEROES

  • Beorn - send the Dunlending Wild Men running for the hills
  • Eowyn - quest and use discard effect
  • Glorfindel - attach Light of Valinor

STRATEGY

  • Strategy is pretty apparent; spam allies and use discard effects to keep your hand size low; engage and destroy any and all enemies
  • SETUP - choose Dunland Berserker as the chosen enemy during setup; also pull Dunland Berserker out of the discard pile whenever advancing to the next quest stage
  • GRIMA OBJECTIVE ALLY - don't be afraid to use his card draw ability since we'll be able to put out whatever we draw
  • Envoy of Pelargir - useful for moving resources off of Beorn onto our heroes
  • Escort from Edoras - useful for questing push; keep in mind that their leaving play will discard any Silvan Refugees on the board
  • Imladris Stargazer - save as a chump and/or exhaust for controlled card draw
  • Trollshaw Scout and Watcher of the Bruinen - helpful discard effects as well as for Time damage effects
  • Dwarven Tomb and Stand and Fight - works will with the discard focus of this deck; doesn't count as "card draw"
  • Feint and The Wizards's Voice - saves Beorn from defending and allies from chumping
  • Didn't include A Test of Will since the treacheries aren't that bad, and it just clogs up our hand to hold onto it so I always pitched it anyway
