This is a Valour deck that starts at 26 threat. You have four turns to dig for (using Gildor Inglorion's draw) and play Pillars of the Kings.

This deck started with the observation that Beorn really likes Horn's Cry -- both the regular and the valour actions, depending on the situation. And of course he loves Honour Guard, who loves being in valour. The rest of the deck just leans into all of the valour Gondor stuff: Angbor the Fearless, Soldier of Gondor, Defender of Cair Andros, The Red Arrow.

There are a few 1x valour events that, honestly, I never end up actually playing. Probably Horn's Cry and Hope Rekindled should just be 3x instead. But sometimes it's just fun to have the option of playing Fierce Defense or Doom Hangs Still.

Gildor Inglorion gets Steward of Gondor and Visionary Leadership so that he can also get the willpower boost.

nice idea. i would make some little adjustments:

  • include 1-3 Song of Battle to make it easier to play the expensive events
  • include 3 Keep Watch very helpul for beorn
  • Feint is to good not to use it

i asume you left sneaked gandalf out of purpose?

All good suggestions. I definitely want to make sure there are 25-30 Gondor allies for Soldier of Gondor and The Red Arrow, so the rest of the deck space is pretty tight. I definitely think that dropping DHS and Fierce Defense for 1x Keep Watch and Feint would be a good idea. Hope Rekindled helps to pay for (or find) Horn's Cry.

I definitely left out Sneak Attack + Gandalf on purpose. This deck already relies on Steward, so it felt more fun to leave out the best two-card combo in the game.

i would think 25 gondorallies would be enough, and in solo i would add a Faramir fits very well i would say and would be cool to get him with the The Red Arrow

if the gondorswarm is more important to you than the beorn-boosts/defenses, then i would include the A Very Good Tale you will rarely get through your deck in a normal game
