Deck attempt to use Vanish from Sight + A Elbereth! Gilthoniel! combo.

The combo: we are high in threat, we play Vanish from Sight to be at 20 temporarily, we then recite our poem (in secret therefore) after the attack of an enemy who has an engagement cost as close as possible to 20 and we have lowered our threat level by... a lot!

I chose Elrond, Gandalf and At the End of All Things to start as high threat as possible and therefore benefit from the most profitable drop possible and to fulfill the condition which allows playing Vanish (2 heroes).

The contract allows you to get 2 cards after the 3rd round so we'll get them at that time. (we don't need it before)

2 heroes decks have a resource issue so Vilya solves a good part of the problem. I also put 3 Seasoned Forager to help play cards other than Vilya.

The deck can afford 3 Deep Knowledge and The Seeing-stone to draw a max since it will greatly reduce its threat.

For the rest, there are cards that fit into a classic Vilya deck.

If we reach the end of the 3rd round, the resources and the cards we had should allow an easy victory.

To get to the end of the 3rd round, we have the detap included in the contract which should help a lot with boosted heroes.

The heroes are so powerful that I put 3 Unexpected Courage +2 Strider + Light of Valinor + Shadowfax to make the most of their stats.

With just Strider, we have for example Gandalf who quests at 6 without exhausting, who can take a no-def because he has 6 HP, who will attack at 4 after. Elrond will be able (even if he has Vilya) to use his stats thanks to the detap of the contract.

Don't hesitate if you have any suggestions, good game! :)

Here is the poem ! :)

A Elbereth Gilthoniel

silivren penna míriel

o menel aglar elenath!

Na-chaered palan-díriel

o galadhremmin ennorath,

Fanuilos, le linnathon

nef aear, sí nef aearon!

Seasoned Forager is an attachement, so useless with contract.

@doomguard Correct me if i'm wrong, but Seasoned Forager mecanism is not a resource gain but a cost reduction so it should work with the contract

@doomguard I also think it should work. It is a cost reduction which says you cannot gain resources from playeer card effects. And you do not put resources into the heroes pool, but the card costs one less. So it should work?

Indeed, Seasoned Forager does work here.

right, i remembered it false, and good use with gandalf, specially sorry, good luck!

but other mention, to have a 2-cardcombo as main strategy i would put in more than 1 copy each. yes i know you an pick it with contract, but have 1 or both in hand before might make it better or do it 2 times a game.

Love your deck buddy! It's very creative. This concept could work with Saruman and Wormtongue too, I think? Good job

Thank you batman ! Unfortunatly it doesn't work with Saruman ! :'( ffg-forum-archive.entropicdreams.com
