This deck was used to beat Shadow and Flame with the Bond of Friendship contract. Galadriel works great to keep threat down so that attacks from Durin's Bane are limited until the player wants to let threat rise in order to put damage on it. The Galadhrim's Greeting provides insurance to keep threat at zero in case of a doomed draw. There are a few cards used to build resources and Narvi's Belt allows some flexibility in spending to assure that they are used before being taken away by quest effects. Will of the West should be used before playing any event if Durin's Bane has Counter-spell on it because your hand will very likely be gone after playing an event with that in play. Thorongil is meant to be played on Dáin Ironfoot so that he can gain his spirit text from Dáin Ironfoot. This allows the player to discard three cards giving him 6 defense, so that he can take the attack from Durin's Bane in the event of an immediate attack. Dain is usually not exhausted until defending anyhow so that dwarves can gain from his willpower and attack bonuses. An interesting sidenote is that Durin's Bane is apparently not immune to card effects, so cards like Hail of Stones , Feint and Khazâd! Khazâd! can put some damage on the worm before he can regenerate. My playthrough took 15 turns but he finally succumbed to a 3-card draw using the action from The Dark Pit.
