Here is a safer and probably more interesting to play version of my 3 Hunters deck. The deck is less consistent to flip the contract in the first refresh phase, but it is a small sacrifice to make it more efficient against quests.

How the deck works

The forthcoming Three Hunters contract looks surprisingly strong! With Galdor's abilities you can consistently flip the contract in the first refresh phase.

So the deck is made to quickly trigger Galdor's action :

  • Reforged is here to play attachments that you discarded with Galdor's response,
  • Elrond's Counsel is best played asap in the planing phase to get an empty hand quickly. Too bad for the +1 :D
  • Galdor's resource is usefull only for Lembas, so it is best to use it to play Open the Armory,
  • I don't play The One Ring because I don't want my hand to be bigger with a Master card, and I want every restricted slot to be usefull.

Once setup you have a high willpower, a good defender with Eowyn and golden shield, and good attackers with Glorfindel and Galdor.

A small detail : I really like how Round Shield fits mechanically in the deck and visually with Eowyn's art :D
