The forthcoming Three Hunters contract looks surprisingly strong! With Galdor's abilities you can consistently flip the contract in the first refresh phase.
So the deck is made to quickly trigger Galdor's action :
- Reforged is here to play attachments that you discarded with Galdor's response,
- Elrond's Counsel is best played asap in the planing phase to get an empty hand quickly. Too bad for the +1 :D
- Galdor's resource is usefull only for Lembas, so it is best to use it to play Open the Armory,
- I don't play The One Ring because I don't want my hand to be bigger with a Master card, and I want every restricted slot to be usefull.
Once setup you have a high willpower, a good defender with Eowyn and golden shield, and good attackers with Glorfindel and Galdor.
A small detail : I really like how Round Shield fits mechanically in the deck and visually with Eowyn's art :D

Sep 13, 2019Thanks |
Sep 19, 2019Do you have any issues if you need to defend multiple enemies? I think if you ever have to face two attacks for 5+ in a round you'd lose a hero, right? |
Sep 19, 2019that's right Of course the deck would be much more "playable" if I add Feint, or other staples like Test of Will or Foe Hammer. But I didn't want to play these cards because they make it more difficult to flip the contract in the first refresh phase, which is the goal of this deck. |
Sep 19, 2019Even with low threat I find myself dealing with multiple attacks. All it takes is a shadow with "makes an additional attack after this one" to ruin your day. Or a boss enemy that attacks each round from the staging area that you need to deal with on top of the engaged enemy. |
Sep 19, 2019Such shadows would need to be dealt with Sterner than Steel, and other multiple attacks with Feint. But then again I have the impression that 3 hunters solo decks won't be so safe. For example a card like Sudden Pitfall will ruin the day for sure^^ |
I think I instantly like any deck with Galdor in it. Haha! Anyway, really cool concept!
