I wondered what kind of utility I could get out of Gandalf from the Hobbit saga. On top of that, I've been thoroughly enjoying Galadriel, Nenya, and the Mirror! I tested with Galadriel alone, but even with card draw and Resourceful, it was far too common to get overwhelmed before I could build a board state. So I tossed in old Glorfindel to help fill in the early questing/combat roles. This creation is very inefficient early on, but favorable initial and early draws in a quest that doesn't punish a little delaying turns into great fun when Galadriel and Gandalf have all their toys and Glorfindel has Light of Valinor.

Mulligan for Gandalf and especially Nenya. You can shoot the moon with card draw, but it's really common to burn out fast if you can't get Gandalf on the table by turn 3. Usually, if I've made it that far, I can buy enough time to draw into the other things we need to see like Light of Valinor, Shadowfax, Resourceful, Gandalf's Staff and threat reduction. Continual growing of allies is also important early on to keep threat from spiking in the quest phase.

I'm not against adding a third hero, but with a limited card pool, I had a LOT of trouble balancing low threat for secrecy (Risk some Light, Resourceful) against everything else I needed to do, and cutting a hero was just weird enough to make me happy.
