I finally beat Massing! This is a deck using cards only from the first cycle, so it's close to a true-solo progression deck.
My strategy here was to use fewer allies, but ones that would be very good and useful. DĂșnedain Watcher, for example, was there for additional cancellation if necessary. As was Eleanor. The key was to try to keep my threat low and engage enemies when I was ready, after suiting up with attachments from the Dunedain cycle.
I used Gandalf exclusively to damage enemies; I didn't need card draw much because Ancient Mathom took care of that for me, and my starting threat is low.
As difficult as Massing is, I actually breezed through it with this deck. What a rush.
