This deck was designed with one goal in mind: maximize chance of success against Encounter at Amon Din Nightmare (solo).

Clearing the active location on turn 1 is almost a must for this quest, in order to have villagers to sacrifice on later turns to avoid the nightmare effect. With Alcaron (objective ally) and Boromir questing, and one of your 2-cost spirit allies, you can get to 13 willpower in turn 1 which should be enough. After that point, always try to keep a location in the staging area for Alcaron to move the villagers to that get discarded each turn from the nightmare effect.

Try to get Silver Harp asap to turn Cirdan into a drawing machine. That will help you get stuff like Narya, and the good old Steward/Blood/Fire on Boromir (no shame in this strategy for one of the hardest quests in the game). You will also want Song of Wisdom and A Burning Brand on Boromir to avoid the shadow effects in this quest which are particularly bad.

The key to saving so many villagers is actually Narya. At the beginning of the quest phase, you must lose a villager due to the nightmare effect. Exhaust Alcaron to move that villager to a location instead. Then after questing with Cirdan and Light of Valinor, use Narya to ready Alcaron. This will enable him to rescue another villager that occasionally (frequently) gets lost during staging.

Stall on stage 1 as long as it takes to get Boromir fully built up.

Last piece of advice is to save A Test of Will to cancel Those now Sundered.

Best of luck!
