SYNOPSIS
A deck designed to handle the Heirs of Numenor quests that involve the Battle and Seige questing. The focus here are the eagles and paying for them quickly.
DESIGN
Eagles are a fun trait deck, but those winged allies can be tough to pay for. Mablung is the Eagle Whisperer here and gets all of the resource aid.
Opening hand is looking for a little card draw and a little resource acceleration. Nothing special needed, just a balanced hand. The cheaper allies are helpful when facing Battle or Seige questing.
Use Daeron's Runes to pitch a Descendant of Thorondor so that Gwaihir can bring him back for more staging area damage.
In the mid to late game, Rúmil can be utilized repeatedly by using Born Aloft (which can also be used for Gandalf.) If the Vassals are still around, Rumil drops 4 damage on an engaged enemy.
PERFORMANCE
No problem with Peril in Pelagir.
Clawed through Into Ithilien. Very favorable encounter deck draws, but still. Took many attempts to get that win.
Snagged all three setup locations in Cair Andros for a quick win.
