I tried this out in 2 player The Long of Mordor. Grey Wanderer contract is really good acceleration in that quest.

The this was basically designed to be a Grey Wanderer location control support deck for multiplayer with a strong Dunedain theme. The deck might be too reliant that there is already a good sentinel defender. It doesn't come with a way to boost Eldahir otherwise have to hope to get Blood of Numenor early.

The Dunedain Wanderer actually works very well as a multiplayer ally in this deck. He could defender weaker enemies or help out with defense across the table.

Even with Resourceful and Timely Aid, the cost curves overall is too high. Next iteration, I'll be looking for some lower cost allies. Maybe Rhovanion Outrider over Northern Tracker.

How do you play Eldahir or Faramir (besides Timely Aid)?Hope to discard them with A Very Good Tale then Stand and Fight?

They can also be put into play with A Very Good Tale itself. There are a lot of 4 cost allies that can exhaust for it.

The Long Arm of Mordor made it easier since most quest stages say that the first card played each turn doesn't require a resource match.
