"I can't play a card for three turns."
During Cardboard of the Rings Special Listener Event IX Custom Quest, I played this deck. It did not go well to say the least. You can see it in action here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZToxHRmS4c&t=22s and listen to some breakdown of it here https://cardboardoftherings.com/2020/09/04/episode-168-5-lcg-con/.
Suffice to say, this is a purely thematic deck built around the joke that I cannot grow facial hair. I made the rule that every card in the deck needed a beard. If you are wondering about Aragorn, just take a look at the reskinned art for Journeys in Middle Earth; you may also question Narya, but I argue that the texture of the blue in the background looks like a dyed blue beard.
To give some insight into my strategy, all I did was scroll through the deckbuilder in Ringsdb and look at the art for cards with beards. I then added them to the deck. The only other thing I looked at was if the card split looked ok for tri-sphere deck based on number of cards per sphere. That proved to be a poor decision as during turn 1, I realized like everything was 3 cost and thus the line "I can't play a card for three turns" that I say very early into the game.
Hope you enjoyed the Listener Event/Swag Reveal and LeagueCG!
