I decided to give Spirit Aragorn Grey Wanderer a whirl. This location control focused GW deck is one I immediately thought of for when Spirit Aragorn was spoiled. It seemed very appropriate to give this idea a try with The Mûmakil considering how location heavy it is.

My original intent was that he would start with Warden of Arnor, but Strider's action advantage and bonus willpower in the early game were too good to pass up. Strider is great because you can pretty much always quest and use his ability. Then with the contract he can ready for combat.

Like most Grey Wanderer decks you want to see Resourceful and/or Timely Aid in your opening hand. Zigil Miner or Ancient Mathom isn't bad to start either but not mulligan worthy.

The mining suite of Zigil Miner, Hidden Cache, Ered Luin Miners is included because I like the discard recursion in Spirit. I didn't include Imladris Stargazer because with the Resourcefuls and GW generally provided enough resource acceleration. I was thinking of the Miners are bonus resources and deck thining. This is also why I only went with Dwarven Tomb and Will of the West for the recursion. I wanted to just cycle through the deck and let Timely Aid and Very Good Tale put most of the allies out into play. Plus, I liked that it's possible with the Dwarven Pipes and Miners where it's just recycling a few cards each time. I could have possibly done this in my first run. It was a fairly long game as it was, and I didn't really need to.

The deck is pretty ally focused as I found that Mûmakil is not great for voltron decks. I lost 2 games using Seastan's DuneGloin deck due to text box blanking and discarding of attachments effects.

The ally swarm gets going locations get explored pretty quickly between a few trackers and outriders helping Aragorn place progress. Ancient Mathom provides a nice source of card draw from this of course.

Combat can get a little tricky but Arwen's defense boost helps make Jubayr and Aragorn into decent defenders without defensive attachments. Don't forget about the healing in the contract. Healing 3 damage is great with Aragorn's 5 hit points.

The sideboard are cards that would make this more playable for other scenarios.
