Elessar010 549

Elessar010 has a newer deck inspired by this one: Gondor's Perilous Valour

This is my solo Perilous Voyage deck!

It's a pretty straight-forward Gondor swarm deck. Take Gather Information as your first side quest so you can get Steward ASAP. If you draw Steward, then fetch another side quest, or anything, really! The goal though is to keep the allies coming.

Every ally is a Gondor ally, so Soldier of Gondor should easily hit, and The Storm Comes should be the 2nd side quest you want so you can play Defenders of Cair Andros and Honour Guards. I love the Defenders because you will most certainly get their Valour Response, and they will always defend for 3 or 4.

Aragorn should get Steward so he becomes a Gondor character, and can fuel his ability. He can also get Visionary Leadership and receive resources from Denethor. The double willpower boost from Visionary and Sword that was Broken can be insane. I routinely though, play Sword for free once the contract flips, if I have solid willpower from the swarm already.

Denethor is your primary defender, but of course, always feel free to chump block. Ancestral Armor and Shining Shield are for him so he can defend for possibly 7 with 5 hit points. Pretty decent.

Sneak Attack is great for Soldier of Gondor and Knight of Belfalas, but also not terrible to sneak in a Defender of Cair Andros or Knight of the White Tower to defend for you before you're able to play them.

There are many weaknesses, chief among them being that you cannot lower your threat, so many quests are not ideal matchups. Once the contract flips, playing something like Need Drives Them (situational), or Sword that was Broken for free is amazing. You could also throw down Ancestral Armor for 1 resource. Many good choices for allies, too!

This deck is super fun to play, and would also work well in a multiplayer setting with minimal unique challenges, other than Steward.
