I've published this one before, but I've done some card-swapping, and recently, just played it entirely through the Dream-chaser cycle solo, and almost all of Angmar Awakened solo (not yet played Carn Dum or Dread Realm). So, this can be a pretty solid deck against a lot of quests in the game. I prefer to build and play decks that can match-up anywhere, as opposed to building for each scenario, and I think this one has proved it can do just that.

It is a typical Gondor's swarm idea, but Aragorn gets Steward of Gondor and Visionary Leadership. Thurindir is probably my favorite Lore splash hero because I love side quests, and fetching Steward thanks to Gather Information is often pretty necessary.

Originally, I didn't have Herald of AnĂ³rien in the deck, but I now love this guy. He can help accelerate the swarm, or help play off-sphere guys like Honour Guard and Knight of Belfalas. Also helpful to get a Warden of Healing in play since Thurindir won't have any resource acceleration.

Playing multiplayer, the Doomed X things might be unpopular, but Far-sighted and Deep Knowledge help the whole table. Far Sighted was also a late addition and that is such a powerful solo card, which is how I play 99% of the time. I don't overdo it with the Doomed effects because you don't necessarily want to ramp too quickly, but they do help in small bursts to jump up to 40 to get Valour triggers, or flip the contract in a timely spot to get a free card to play.

All-in-all, this deck can quest for a ton when you're swarming and have Sword that was Broken and Visionary Leadership on Aragorn. Those two are one of my favorite combos in the game! With a solid swarm, in multiplayer, this deck can handle a questing or combat role. Denethor as the main defender does hinder you in multiplayer because he doesn't have Sentinel, but I keep Ancestral Armor in the sideboard in case there's someone else who needs the armor, like the Knight of the White Tower or Aragorn, who then can be a strong Sentinel defender (with the Shining Shield, too).
