Here is an Eagle-Silvan Last Alliance deck with lots of potential combos. I'm still not sure when the best time to trigger the contract is and which card to combo it with. Maybe someone is interested enough to try it out to find those best combos. But I know there is something here.

Some of the more obvious combos:

  • The most straightforward combo with the contract is Gwaihir himself. He can ready when an eagle or Silvan enters/leaves play.
  • Play a Silvan event that can now reference an Eagle (especially [The Tree People](/card/08009)).
  • Elvenking can return an Eagle/Silvan to ready Thranduil and Gwaihir. This can work especially well with Wilyador since then you won't have to pay for him at the end of the round (and usually you can play him for free in the Planning Phase using the contract's built-in ability).
  • Thranduil's ability to play an Eagle with no sphere match (those birds can be expensive) and another way to ready Gwaihir.
  • [The Eagles Are Coming!](/card/02005) - get Eagles or Silvans
  • One combo I haven't used yet is to place Silvans under the [Eagles of the Misty Mountains](/card/02119).
  • Silvan tracker to heal Eagles (including Gwaihir)

Some Eagles tend to be expensive and the contract can also help you to play Eagles for cheaper. Using O Lorien with the contract can make them even cheaper.

I originally had Celeborn as a hero instead of Mirlonde but I really wanted access to Lore (mainly for Tree People) and she kept my starting threat lower.

And finally, I wasn't sure about including Host of Galadhrim but I did have that one turn where I got to return and play a bunch of Eagles (and Silvans) and wiped out a good portion of the staging area. So I kept one in the deck :)

Cool idea!

Cool, I love seeing Last Alliance decks with Eagles. But maybe consider cutting Mirlonde for Argalad, if you have him. He's two more threat, but same stats and better effect.

the thread is not calculated right (13+8+9 = 30 -2 =28). i understand keeping mirlonde, play anduin and you know why ^^

nice deck overall!.

Fun deck! I'll get around to publishing it at some point, but I have a somewhat similar TLA deck with Silvans and Eagles that I really enjoy. Like you said, there are a lot of fun decision points on when to use the contract. Mine is a bit more multiplayer focused and has Haldir as the third hero. A few cheap Vassals and Ranged Silvans with the discounts and you can snipe with Haldir and then kill something with Rumil pretty much every round that you don't engage an enemy.

@Shellin Looking forward to seeing your deck. You’ve had a long time with the cards to find all the fun combos. @TruckYeah Argalad and Haldir I think would be the only other options. I went the other way because then I would have to slot some weapons in the deck to get them really good. But I’ll try Argalad out. I don’t often play decks with him. But will keep Mirlonde for that troll in Journey like @doomguard says ;)
