Concept

I was listening to the latest episode of CotR, and they were doing a Tardy Takes on Tale of Tinúviel, a card I have literally never put into a deck despite the obvious power level. So that was the genesis.

I tried initially to build something thematic with Aragorn and Arwen Undómiel alongside Galadriel, Elrond, Éowyn, and both versions of Glorfindel, but none of them really got me excited. I also tried Erestor for the maximum efficiency of flipping the Forth, The Three Hunters! contract, but I didn't like potentially drawing into a Tale and not being able to use it at the opportune time.

Deckbuilding

Enter Galdor of the Havens to be the third wheel on our date night. Selective mulligan and an ability to replenish the hand when there is a fair amount of discard tech in the deck, yes please. And he can chaperone with a respectable stat line. From there, it was about balancing the number of Restricted attachments that are available for each of the three heroes, which, admittedly, is something I struggle with big time in building with this contract. There are 24 Restricted attachments in the deck with 9x draw cards and Galdor's ability, which should get you online quickly to flip the contract.

Gameplay

In order to flip the contract ASAP, you obviously want to maximize your opening hand with Restricted attachments and distribute them accordingly. You'll probably want to see a draw event as well. Ideal Restricted lineup looks something like this:

Arwen -- Celebrían's Stone, Silver Circlet, Windfola
Aragorn -- Valiant Sword, Ranger Spear (or Steed of the North), Shining Shield
Galdor -- Steed of Imladris, Keen Longbow, Legacy Blade

Raw willpower will not be an issue. In true solo, if you've been diligent clearing locations and engaging enemies when you can handle them, Arwen can quest by herself for 13 , if you've seen Strider as well. Where the deck is tricky to pilot is the combat phase, but here we have a single Blood of Númenor you can dig for and some readying for defense. You also have five potential uses of Tale of Tinúviel with the Dwarven Tomb for a big Aragorn turn. If you find that action advantage is a problem, I've included a couple extra cards in the sideboard as well as a module that has been suggested but untested in Roheryn + The One Ring + Strength and Courage for maximum damage output if you're struggling in that department. If you want to try that out, though, I'm not sure what to cut. Hope you enjoy it.

Very nice! I revisited my Tale of Tinuviel deck after listening to the episode as well though I went a different route opting for Galadriel and using Ranger and Elf allies. Using the Three Hunters contract to get the will power up even more is great though in the playthroughs of my deck I found all she really needed was that +2 willpower from a single silver circlet to make Aragorn a combat beast. Obviously, the greater willpower is more important for you as you don't have the allies you can rely on. I haven't published my deck yet but here is the link if you want to check it out or have any suggestions. ringsdb.com

@enderw30 just a friendly reminder that Tale of Tinúviel is printed value. I had to be reminded of this as well.

I definitely completely overlooked that! Thanks for pointing it out. :) Looks like I may have to add some weapons to this deck after all though often I would use Galadriel's willpower anyways because she was often up during the combat phase when Arwen was not. I purposefully didn't include Nenya to resist the urge to use her for something other than drawing and reducing my threat or using her for the Tale.
