Con of the Rings 2022 Alt Art Deck

The goal of this deck is to soak up all the threat of your entire table. The hobbit pipes will let you continually draw all the cards you need to play ~2 threat reduction events a turn. You want to keep at least 1 each turn to trigger the hobbit pipes on the next turn.

Ideally you want to get a resourceful early (i put it on Merry) and then you just start loading up everyone with pipes and all the Songs of earendil go on Merry as well. Thorongil to pull out Tactics Merry so you can use your fast hitches to quest, lower threat, and attack.

I included a bunch of sideboard cards to allow flexibility around other people's uniques they might include. I'll list below the swaps I would do but feel free to experiment as well! Swaps/additions: Pippin = Folco / Nob Arwen = Lindir Gandalf = Glorfindel / Treebeard Warden/Roving herbmaster if healing is needed Peace and thought = Old toby if exhausting 2 heros hurts the early willpower too much Song of wisdom if you want to play MOTK Bilbo and still want access to drinking song/fast hitch Long lake fisherman to experiment with getting pipes/events faster while providing some questing/attack support.
