D4rkWolf10 505

D4rkWolf10 has a newer deck inspired by this one: The True Quest 2.0

This deck was born from a desire to put a different spin on the Strider strategy than I've seen on RingsDB so far. I wanted to make a strong thematic deck that really personified the journey of Frodo and Sam to Mordor, assisted by Gandalf for a time, and then Faramir and his rangers.

The obvious focus of the deck is to turn Sam into a superior quester, defender, and attacker all at once using the various attachments. Strider seems to work best on him so he can defend against multiple enemies in a round if necessary. Halbarad and Faramir are included for the quest boost and to ensure you are always getting the most out of Sam and his abilities.

The underlying strategy is that while Sam is indeed strong and able to handle multiple enemies once you get the right attachments, Frodo is no slouch himself as a defender as well, leaving you the option to defend multiple enemies with the Hobbits and allowing your allies to clean up, particularly if Gandalf is in play. Even without the allies, the deck has a low enough threat and reduction options, along with fun cards like Taste It Again! that allow you a lot of versatility depending on what the scenario brings.

I will say the deck is untested, but I found the idea and concept intriguing enough to post it for others to offer potential improvements to it. I'm hoping to test it within a few days and update the listing if needed.

As soon as I pick up Grey Havens and the new cycle I will definitely build and play this. I still haven't made a viable Secrecy Deck but the new Strider card looks like just what secrecy needed! Thanks for this.
