Jreilly89 has a newer deck inspired by this one: Dwarven Alliance - Bond of Friendship Contract Deck

I've always been intrigued by the Bond of Friendship contract and making a deck around it. not only because of the restrictions in deck building, but also because of the obvious power of having a 4th hero.

Additionally, I wanted to look at if I could make a contract deck using one of the Starter sets, since most of the new Starter decks come with 3 or 4 different sphere heroes in them. So, obviously where do you start with a brand new idea? Dwarves!

Dwarves have long been one of the most powerful archetypes. And the new Dwarf Starter just exemplifies that. With Dain giving a global buff to all Dwarves, he was an easy choice. Then you have Nori and Ori who reduce your threat and draw you extra cards for playing lots of Dwarves, which you were going to do anyways. The other cards just continue the theme, such as readying all Dwarves in play.

So we've got a deck, we've got three heroes, who's our 4th? Gimli is a great choice, but I want to give Thalin a go, since he doesnt see much play other than in Dwarf decks. Plus he'll soften up any enemies that come out and Dain gives us a boost to his Questing.

Then it's fill out your choice of Dwarves. I tried not to have too many unique Dwarves so they aren't dead cards. Gandalf isn't a Dwarf, but hes a great multi-use card. Beorn isn't either, but he's a beast in combat and thematically helped out the Dwarves in the Hobbit.

For attachments, the same rule follows, try not to have too many uniques.

Then I just decided to round out my events with my usual favorites, plus some specialty ones like We Are Not Idle and Will of the West.

So the contract asks us to have exactly 50 cards, 10 cards of each Sphere, plus 10 Neutral cards and no more than 2 of each card.

I made a 47 card deck using only the Starter Deck and the Revised Core Set. Now we can get to 50 if we ignore the 2 copy limit just for Neutrals and add in 1 more copy of Ered Luin Miner, Hidden Cache, and Gandalf.

Or if we add the Angmar Awakened Hero cards, we can add in 2 copies of Keen As Lances and Gather Information and get to 50 cards.

I haven't tested this deck, but I definitely want to give it a go soon!

Great idea. I had the same thought for a BOF Dwarf deck the other day and was wondering if Óin's resource smoothing would be helpful. I like your hero lineup! Make sure you come back and update after testing. Looks like the bones of something excellent.

@Marctimmins89 Thanks! Oin would definitely help with the resource smoothing. I'm hoping Magic Ring, Narvi's Belt, and Zigil Miner will do the heavy lifting for me.
