would include Expert Treasure-hunter and Smoke and Think

consider start with (MotK) Bilbo Baggins instea o Merry then you start with a pipe in your hand.

@doomguard Great Ideas all around! I've seen a few other running Expert Treasure-hunter, so if I can find that pack I'll absolutely pick it up. As a new player I've got to make some sacrifices sadly.

Smoke and Think also looks very useful, and I hadn't heard of Messenger of the King before now, having (MotK) Bilbo Baggins as a hero would be fantastic as like you said, starting with a pipe in hand would be significant.
