“Some there are among us who sing that the Shadow will draw back, and peace shall come again…”- Haldir, The Fellowship of the Ring.

As many in the community have noted over the years, Haldir of Lorien is one of the most versatile Lore heroes in the game. And as a sucker for secrecy decks, I couldn’t help but initially consider the combination of Galadriel’s built in threat mitigation along with Haldir’s combat action ability. However, upon piloting that deck, I struggled to find a timely way to assemble Haldir with out of sphere Tactics weapons. Thus the idea for this deck was sprung.

The ideal opening hand reflects that of Strider and Resourceful- placing Resourceful(s) on Arwen. Utilizing Arwen’s card draw via Elven-light (and Daeron’s Runes) you will work toward tracking down a copy of reforged and then using it to attach either of the Tactics sphere weapons to Haldir. Along with threat mitigation via Council of Elrond and Woodsmen’s Clearing, you shouldn’t have issues remaining in Secrecy or evading enemy engagements.

For a little spice, attach Leaf Brooch to Arwen to capitalize on Secrecy 1 on all Spirit events. With some luck and patience, wait for the right moment to unleash a hefty Lay of Nimrodel to watch the active quest clear with minimal effort.

In essence this deck can function well in solo or multiplayer, as once Haldir’s tool kit is assembled, you will be able to deal 7 damage without the concern of engaging enemies while also providing decent questing power. If playing in multiplayer, swap out the Silvan Refugees for Sailor of Lune or Celduin Traveler.
