Discard Pile

Calaquendi 1

A take on Noldor Discard for Solo specifically.

The usual Erestor and Cirdan discard, with accelerated churn with Deep Knowledge, Daeron's, Arwen etc + increased Discard pile manipulation with Wandering Spirit

Combos:

  • Look for early/first round To the Sea with Guardian (primary defender) to use up the monster first hand, or Glorfindel pending the scenario/draw. If also get Elven Jeweler can bring in as chump and/or if get Wandering Spirit can spend 1 to bring one of the 2 cost Noldor allies discarded into play. Then work to flood board supported by Narya/Steward.
  • Mid-Late Game the usual Lords of Eldar boosts + Narya to give Guardian 5 defense and Glorfindel 4 and , of which he can attack twice with discard readying + Mithlond Seawatchers 4 . Nice and thematic to see the Brothers Elladan and Elrohir in the mid game too, especially vs scenarios with lots of orcs
  • Discard Plays, including Wandering Spirits from alep to manipulate discard and bring Mithlond Sea Watcher or if need Caregiver or a Chump Blocker into play (or via Stand and Fight), very fun and can work deck to ensure they have 3 and 4 with Lords of Eldar each round as have found historically Noldor decks can struggle to get enough
  • Positives, aside from being super fun, good out of the blocks and high ceiling, quick tempo, lots of different way to play vs some more linear decks, once get board state the is quite potent, Glorfindel can be recycled multiple times if needed to soak a rogue attack, archery or effect, Silver Harp lets you keep a preferred card
  • Weaknesses have felt include especially if Guardian gets removed by a high boss it can get messy quickly if enemies swarm. No treachery or shadow negation/cancellation, so the nasty ones can really hurt

Thanks @mormegil for the foundation and all the other decks he and the community have built, was late to the game so its definitely helped to accelerate and enhance my own experience.

Welcome any ideas/thoughts for improving and other combos I may have missed.
