This was the Gloin deck I built to bring to Con of the Rings. The inspiration is the old Battle for Middle Earth II strategy video game, whose campaign heavily featured Gloin, Glorfindel, and Haldir.
The goal of the deck, as usual, is to buff Gloin's hit points far enough to take multiple attacks per round, generating mad money.
Most of the allies are just played for stats or because they are "thematic" to the elf and dwarf factions in the video game, but Arwen is key to give Gloin sentinel in multiplayer, and the Caregivers keep his health topped up.
The most important card in the deck, as usual, is Narvi's Belt, which lets us spend all of Gloin's money on all the other cards, particularly Elven-light, paired with the Caregivers for repeated healing and draw.
Admittedly, this deck was pretty average at first, as many thematic decks are. What sends the deck into overdrive is the Boons I earned during the Con. Initially I was quite disappointed to learn that I had earned Skilled Healer, since that boon is probably last on everyone's tier list. However, setting Gloin's starting HP to 6 is bonkers, and then later on, getting Hands of a Healer to trade one of his actions for 3 healing right away is incredibly good too.
This deck's alternate title is "Redemption for the healer boons"
