This is an RCO deck built with only cards from the revised core, Fellowship of the Ring, Ered Mithrin hero expansion, Dwarves of Durin Starter, and Elves of Lorien Starter. The sideboard includes cards from the rest of the RCO that may be worth considering during deckbuilding as you expand your card pool.

This is a powerful defensive deck, centered around Dáin Ironfoot. Dain is a capable defender from turn one, and with a copy or two of Armor of Erebor, he's nearly indestructible. He wants a copy of Ring of Thrór for both the readying and free card plays in this attachment heavy deck.

The mining mechanic is central to this deck. Gandalf provides scrying, allowing you to always know what card you'll be discarding and guaranteeing at least once resource from Zigil Miner each turn. You'll generally want to send those extra resources to Dain. Wizard Pipe will allow you to get any copies of Ered Luin Miner or Hidden Cache that you are unfortunate enough to draw back into your deck to be mined.

You'll want to get a Dwarf Pipe out early to make sure you don't lose your copy of Will of the West. If it does get discarded, you can recover it with Ered Nimrais Prospector, but you'd rather be using those to recycle Ered Luin Miner and Hidden Cache.
