Hi, could you explain how the sideboard works, do I include these in the deck or replace something else with them in certain circumstances?

Usually, a sideboard is a small group of cards that gets set aside from the rest of the deck. Depending on what quest you're playing, you replace something else in the deck with them or just slot them in without taking anything out and have a slightly bigger deck.

Since this deck was built specifically for Return to Mirkwood, (see original deck for description) I don't have to make the descision to put them in for each time I play. I just decide whether to leave them out, sub them in, or just slop them in with the rest of the deck. Hope that helps.

Thanks, I guess you based this deck on 2 core sets? I only have one so I’ll make up the 50 with the sideboard and give this quest a go. Not beaten it yet, so let’s see what your deck can do!

This is great, managed to beat it on 3rd playthrough, and on first playthrough only lost by 1 threat point due to unlucky encounter draw. Denethor’s ability is definitely key in this quest when played solo, as well as the low starting threat. Elfhelm and Escort are also key, Escort to push through that first quest stage, and Elfhelm to reduce threat by 1 each round effectively giving an extra round. Thanks!

Yup, I built this with two core sets. Glad you were able to beat the quest, it's pretty hard! Whoa, I just realized, Hasty Stroke shouldn't be in there. Well, there's a sideboard for a reason!
