mtpolatti has a newer deck inspired by this one: Into the Pit Solo

This is the deck I used to beat "Into the Pit" from Khazad-dûm several times. Every time I was able to put my hands on Song of Travel early in the game I was able to beat the scenario easily. Dain Ironfoot and/or Glóin hold the Song, while Gimli uses the Steward of Gondor. Mulligan for the Song or for a hand low in . Gimli and Glóin were questing every turn during phase 1B, after that you should be in company of a pretty decent army, and Gimli can be used to kill some Orcs and Goblins dudes.
