WanderingTook 1382
WanderingTook has a newer deck inspired by this one: Shire Hobbits II

Synopsis
A solo deck that I used to kick off my LoTR saga campaign.
Design
One of the criticisms that the official deck lists receive is that many cards only have a single copy. This is bad for deck consistency, but great for the fun-factor in that every play is different from the last. This deck is heavily based on the deck list at the back of The Black Riders manual, but includes cards from the entire card pool.
The cards that I added are as follows:
- Son of Arnor is an obvious inclusion for dealing with Bill Ferny and for removing opponents from the staging area before the quest phase.
- Pelargir Ship Captain is great for shifting resources, and contribute valuable willpower.
- Rivendell Minstrel is in there for the willpower.
- Ring Mail provides Sam some much needed defensive power.
- Fast Hitch is an auto-include for any Hobbit-based deck. Sam and Merry benefit the most from this attachment.
- Word of Command is a nice fallback in case a crucial card is stuck at the bottom of your deck.
- Shadow of the Past (the event card, not the scenario) is game-breakingly good. Paired with the Gildor Inglorian boon, you can stall the encounter deck for multiple turns.
Performance
Performs great against all three scenarios in The Black Riders saga expansion.
