15 Decks Challenge Division 1

Description

Welcome to my 15 decks challenge!

I decided to build 15 decks simultaneously and pit them all against the same scenarios to see how they fare. The first test was versus Passage through Mirkwood and all the decks are now ranked and seeded for the next challenge, a custom deck built out of all the encounter cards I own.

This is Division 1, the best performers out of all the decks score wise. They have gained the privilege of being the first to face the custom scenario (once I build it). The best performing deck is at the top of the fellowship and it continues down from there in order.

Deck #8: 94, 6 rounds, Stage 3B Spider

Deck #2: 104, 6 rounds, Stage 3B Quest

Deck #9: 105, 7 rounds, Stage 3B Spider

Deck #5: 107, 9 rounds, Stage 3B Quest

As I'm sure you can see, the constraints of building 15 decks at the same time makes it so that many wanted cards are only 1x or already taken, making it very luck reliant on getting what you really need. But this whole game heavily involves luck anyways. There is also an abundance of mid and outclassed cards that are taking up deckspace to get every deck to 50 cards. I do have both a Revised Core Set and my old Single Core from back when I refused to play with shadow cards because they were unfair. That means the good staple cards like Steward of Gondor and A Test of Will can be 1x in many decks at least. And since I own all the starter decks everyone gets at least 1 Gandalf.

This has been a fun experience so far, and while I dont neccessarily recommend doing something like this unless you are ok with it taking a long time, I do recommend randomly generating your heros and seeing what kind of deck you come up with around them as it can be quick and fun!

Oh and I forgot to say so but I have exactly 45 heros discounting copies from my other core set and randomly picked all the heros to go in each deck before starting the building process.
