Pirate Brahm 1062
Author's Note: This deck was updated from one of my earlier Noldor decks to replace a few allies and add Reforged, arguably the best card to come out of the Ered Mithrin cycle. Like most of my decks, this was built with two-handed play in mind. This provides healing, treachery control, and readying support for the deck it is paired with. I find that a good combat deck will fare nicely alongside this one.
The strategy for this and similar Noldor decks, while initially complicated, is fairly straightforward - You draw up with Erestor, discard a card in hand to activate Arwen's resource ability, then discard more cards to activate To the Sea, to the Sea! and pay for big Noldor allies. When this deck gets rolling (which should be fairly quickly), you will be playing a discounted ally every turn and still have 2-3 resources free to play other cards from your hand. Any leftover cards can be fed to Imladris Caregiver or Glorfindel.
Tips:
-Remember that Glorfindel can be readied once per phase, so use him 2-3 times per round if you need him to quest as well as fight.
-Elrond is the deck's key defender, and with A Burning Brand, Unexpected Courage, and his healing bonus, he should be able to deal with most attacks.
-Silver Harp - Use it to either 1) Save a card for a future turn rather than discarding it (i.e. A Test of Will) or 2) Exhaust it to reclaim and discard a card you just pitched To the Sea, to the Sea!, effectively increasing your discount by another resource.
-Elven-light - By paying for this card, you add it to your hand and draw a card. That's a two for one discount on To the Sea, to the Sea!
-Galdor of the Havens - A useful Noldor ally that lets you draw a card after discarding one. You can turn that into another 2 for 1 discount towards To the Sea, to the Sea! or use his ability at the end of the round to start the next one with a hand of 5 cards.
Oh, and a note on the sideboard cards - They're used convert this deck back to a Círdan the Shipwright deck in the incredibly rare chance that another player is using hero Arwen Undómiel.
