Cirdan may make the bulk of his living building ships, but when you run a monopoly on the most expensive boat industry in Middle Earth, you definitely have some cash to throw around, and Cirdan has decided to open a bar in the Grey Havens - The Tavern by the Sea!

This deck lives and dies on ally Gandalf. The goal is to get him into play as quickly as possible, so you mulligan for the Grey Wanderer. This deck has plenty of card draw and can move through its deck quite quickly.

The goal is to get Gandalf out and questing/attacking/defending as quickly as possible. Once he is in play (With his steed attached. Bob will always get his Horse when Gandalf needs him) Gandalf should stay in play and have his mount and staff attached.

Cirdan should be given Narya, particularly once Gandalf is in play so he can be readied both by Shadowfax and by the power of Cirdan's ring.

I like the theme and idea of this deck. Gandalf seems to be quite the tavern dweller, so it fits good. Especially for longer quests or high threat increase ones, the deck has no consistent way to reduce the strong +3 increase at the end of the round. Someone out of Spirit Merry, Spirit Beregond, Leadership Frodo, Galadriel, Fastred, might be good, to make the deck more viable for the longer quests, as you can reduce threat from the beginning of the game.

It seems like (MotK) Bob (or even Nob, though that would hurt the theme) could be replaced by Sp-Merry. Then add 3x Westfold Horse-breeder, and even 1 or 2 of Bob himself, to the ally pool and finding Shadowfax shouldn't be an issue. You can also put in a Hobbit Pony and Steed of Imladris, too, which can also be fetched and are quite useful.

@kjeld I like the idea of replacing Bob with Merry and adding Bob to the deck itself. Unfortunately I can't add horse-breeder (non-thematic) but I think having three Bob's would work just fine.

Seems cool deck, the only problem i see in mulitplayer, when other players have gandalf running in their deck with sneak attack.... which happens quit alot in multiplayer, but otherwise love to see the other gandalf in a deck. nice job

@serre Yeah this deck falls a bit flat if anyone else is running Gandalf. I play 99% of my games with my wife, and she never runs Gandalf so many of my decks use Hero Gandalf or this version or something like that. Though I kind of like the idea of Gandalf coming into the tavern and then preventing everyone else from playing him because Gandalf is still drinking and smoking the night away.
