this has a few fixes over version 2. still optimized for Against the Shadow solo play. See version one of the deck for the original support version. however, this is probably my favorite so far.

Oct 30, 2016Thanks D4rkWolf10! I fully agree. I avoided out lands for years just because it seemed clearly overpowered (which it is), but then I thought hey why not build one that uses a non-conventional hero trio and some other sprinkles that I don't usually use like Ring of Barahir! Also, I intentially didn't include any Lore heroes because the lack of card draw and healing makes this deck a little trickier to pull off. Anyway, thanks again! |
Oct 30, 2016Have you considered Sword of Numenor/Gondorian Fire as a potential replacement for Dagger of Westernesse? It seems like you'd get more value from them since you'll have a fair bit of resources from Steward of Gondor. Also, maybe Leadership Denethor instead of Erkenbrand? He's my newest favorite Leadership hero and he would get the full benefits of Gondorian Shield as your primary defender. |
Oct 31, 2016Leadership Denethor a great idea. I hadn't thought of him because I don't have that AP yet, but it's actually arriving this week. Erkenbrand was chosen for this iteration mainly because the first few Against the Shadow quests have some rough shadow cards and Gondorian Fire is actually my preference over Dagger, I actually used it in the first iteration, but swapped it out because the AtS quests also have some harsh resource hate. I'm gonna try Denethor as soon as he comes in for me. |
Oct 31, 2016Funnily enough I am in the Against the Shadow cycle now myself. The Druadan Forest is my next one. So far my brother and I have had good success with a trap healing deck and a Gondor swarm deck. Outlands seems like it would crush too. |

Prince Imrahil, Prince of Dol Amroth, Denethor, and Strength of Arms. Seems broken. |
Outlands is like this game's version of Slivers from MtG, which although they were broken were still some of the most fun decks to play for me. It's just fun to watch your allies become so strong that nothing can kill them and they can fill every role you need at full power. I like this deck's selection of heroes as well. Nice job!
