This deck is the second installment in my ___ & the Outlanders series. I decided to start building these decks for three reasons:
1) Outlands gets a lot of flack for being OP (which, arguably, it is) and I wanted to see just how OP it can be.
2) Why Not? The card pool allows for a lot of arguably OP decks these days so why shun the Outlanders?
3) The Outlanders provide a solid base of support that allows the deck to focus on some rather unorthodox builds with a featured hero.
The first deck I made featured a Quad-sphere Aragorn & the Outlanders, using a slew of attachments.
So, yes, these decks are powerful but FUN and I would argue not OP relative to today's standards.
This deck focuses on using Éowyn as a monster force in all three primary categories while supporting with the featured co-star, new and Outlands-improved Prince Imrahil.
The keys to getting this deck singing are: on Steward of Gondor on Hirluin the Fair, Gondorian Fire-Unexpected Courage-Prince of Dol Amroth on Prince Imrahil, and Herugrim - Snowmane on Éowyn. Use Imrahil's ability to pull Envoy of Pelargir or Squire of the Citadel and keep the resources flowing while discarding un-needed uniques to boost Eowyn.
So far, I've played this deck solo versus Encounter at Amon Din and Assault on Osgilliath and had fun and success with both.
Input and feedback are welcome and encouraged. Stay-tuned for the next __ & the Outlanders deck coming soon!
