Three Hunting with Hobbits! In this deck Nob takes a break from serving pints to instead help Merry and Sam Gamgee get equipped for some serious adventuring.

Nob helps this contract set up fast by offering a discount on items played and offering bonus card draw. Before the conflict is flipped each hero will get a discount on restricted attachment's anyway, but Nob helps pay the second resource on items like Ring Mail or get out a free Hobbit Cloak or Staff of Lebethron. Once the contract flips, his ability continues to help as you finish out equipping the team.

I typically like to give Nob the Red Book of Westmarch and Celebrían's Stone, Merry the weapons, and Sam Gamgee the defensive items. The low threat and high questing value of this deck often means you can engage enemies as you are ready for them and then have Merry dispatch them quickly. The hit points from Ring Mail also help Sam absorb a hit or two if he needs to.

The biggest danger to this deck is a stray attack coming in before Sam Gamgee has had a chance to ready with his ability, which makes him a great candidate for Fast Hitch as soon as you get it.

Unless you really need to quest the first round, it is good to use Nob's ability to draw an extra card. More often than not it will be an item so he can ready himself and be available to quest.

This deck won't work on every quest, but it has beaten several of the more challenging ones. Some options exist to pump it up a bit more with Steward of Gondor (which will strengthen the Gondorian Shield or Halfling Determination which can give Sam a bit of a defensive boost if he is facing a very strong enemy.
